Advising

The CLAS Advising Center is the academic home for Exploratory students and students who enter IU South Bend undecided about their academic focus, or subsequently change their major to undecided.

Our team also works with probationary students, providing them with the tools they need to achieve good academic standing.

Our advising team consists of four professional advisors and more than 20 faculty members from a wide variety of departments. They are supported by our Administrative Assistant, Paul Foltz, and lead by the Director of Student Services, Karen Christopher.

We look forward to working with you.

Changing your major or minor

First talk to your advisor about your plans. Make sure you are well informed about the requirements for your intended major. If possible, talk to a faculty member in the field you intend to major in.
