Dr. Collins was honored to be selected into FACET (Indiana University Faculty Colloquium on Excellence in Teaching) in 2002, in part on the basis of her teaching-related publications. She has worked on many departmental, College and campus committees, including serving two, three-year terms as philosophy department chair. She has also been involved with the Women’s and Gender Studies Program throughout her time at IU South Bend. Dr. Collins’ scholarship centers on feminist ethics, and she has published scholarly articles on gossip, online relationships, and children’s literature, among other topics.
