Now that he has retired from IU South Bend, he has started Thrive Michiana, LLC, a sustainability consulting group. To recognize his time spent at IU South Bend, most recently creating the Center for a Sustainable Future and the Sustainability Studies program, Mike celebrated by raising money to fund scholarships to enable underserved students from the Michiana area to study sustainability.
