Michiana Recycling and Disposal is an regionally-based independent, locally owned recycling and waste hauler. Residential services allow garbage, recycling and yard waste to be picked up together using their One Stop-One Container-One Truck system. Commercial services feature a commingle system for collection of garbage and recycling which allows them to collect garbage and recycling together in the same dumpster. They sort the recyclables at their state licensed and state inspectedmaterial recovery facility. Roll-Off Services for construction sites feature comingled disposal onsite, and sorting of wood, metal, concrete, cardboard, vinyl and drywall at their Material Recovery Facility, with the remainder weighed and then hauled to the landfill.They provide documentation of the results, further assisting customers with LEED requirements for landfill diversion and minimal waste production. Fairytale Brides is a nonprofit that helps brides get the dresses of their dreams.
NICU Helping Hands is also a non-profit organization that takes donations of wedding gowns, and then turns them into angel-like gowns for newborns that never get to go home from the hospital.

There are a variety of places to drop off prescription eyewear in good repair that is no longer useful or applicable to personal prescriptions. TRIAD sponsors an old medication drop off at least once a year in September and some years in both September and May. The next drop off will be held May 13, 2010 at St. Joseph County Jail in South Bend and at the Mishawaka Police Department from 7:30 AM -2:00 PM.

Recycled styrofoam will be remade into insulating foam board for home insulation by Corning.The company will provide large poly bags for the collection of Expanded Polystyrene and regularly scheduled pick-ups of the material.
