Dr. Ann M. Grens Biology Scholarship (amount varies): For Biology students who demonstrate the commitment to peer mentoring, diligence, and love for education that characterize Dr. Ann Grens' outstanding contribution to students. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA; have completed L101, L102, and at least one upper-level biology course; and include a 1 page essay responding to the following question: "How have you helped others overcome the challenges of higher education and college life?"
Ernest Gerkin Memorial Scholarship (amount varies): Undergraduate (part-time or full-time) students enrolled at the South Bend Campus of Indiana University, who are majoring in physical science or mathematics. The grade point average of the recipients of the scholarship(s) shall be 3.5 points (on a 4.0 base) or better. The Committee shall consider demonstrated need of potential recipients as a significant but not necessarily determining factor in the award of the scholarship(s).
George Nazaroff Scholarship (amount varies): Supports Chemistry students entering their senior year of study at IU South Bend. Recipients must carry a minimum chemistry GPA of 3.0 and an overall minimum GPA of 2.5. The following criteria will be considered in selecting recipients: a. Performance in physical chemistry courses and laboratory; b. Chemistry GPA; c. Overall GPA; d. Contribution to departmental activities. The recipients will be expected to complete the requirements of the Bachelor's degree in Chemistry within two years of receiving the Scholarship. Preference will be giving to chemistry majors who have completed the two-semester physical chemistry sequence at IU South Bend.
Carolyn and Lawrence Garber Summer Research Scholarship (amount varies): This annual summer scholarship supports an undergraduate student majoring in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry doing research during the summer on an IU campus working with an IU faculty member, who has a minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale and a goal of pursuing post-baccalaureate studies.
Gretchen Anderson Pathways Scholarship (amount varies): Supports students who have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, have declared a major in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and have completed at least twelve credit hours at IU South Bend.
Adam Ross Barker Memorial Scholarship (amount varies): Scholarships for undergraduate students pursuing a degree related to computer and information sciences who are enrolled full- time and demonstrate potential for academic excellence in computer and information sciences. The Scholarship may be renewed provided the recipients continue to demonstrate academic excellence and maintain satisfactory academic progress towards their degree.
Applicants must submit an essay describing their academic and career goals, professional philosophy, special interests, and examples of significant community involvement, as well as unusual circumstances, challenges, and/or obstacles encountered in the pursuit of their education.
John P Russo Scholarship (amount varies): Supports undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Computer and Information Sciences at IUSB. Financial assistance may be cash awards, tuition, or funds for attending research conferences (approved by the student's advisor). The requirements for undergraduate student scholarships are as follows: declared major in Computer and Information Sciences, with a minimum of 45 credits toward graduation, of which 30 credits must have been taken at IUSB; cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above; completion of at least four (4) core courses in Computer Sciences at IUSB; full time student status (12 credits or more; and registering for a minimum of three (3) credits of Computer Sciences per semester (6 credits per year.) The requirements for graduate student scholarships are as follows: declared concentration in Computer and Information Sciences; cumulative graduate GPA of 3.5; completion of at least fifteen (15) graduate Computer Science credits at IUSB; and full time student status (9 credits or more, or students who are enrolled for thesis credits).
William J. Knight Fund/Computer & Inform. Science (amount varies): Supports undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Computer and Information Sciences at Indiana University South Bend.
Informatics Scholarship (amount varies): Scholarship opportunity for full-time students pursuing an in-person B.S. in Informatics. Applicants must identify how many credit hours they have completed in Informatics courses (if you have not completed any, list 0) and submit an essay describing the following: academic and career goals, professional philosophy, special interests, and examples of significant community involvement, as well as unusual circumstances, challenges, and/or obstacles encountered in the pursuit for your education.

Dorothy Allen Memorial Math Scholarship (amount varies): This scholarship supports undergraduate and graduate scholarships for foreign students participating in the International Student Program through the department and are coming to Indiana University South Bend to study mathematics.
Faculty & Alumni Scholarship in Mathematical Sciences(amount varies): Supports both undergraduate and graduate students in Mathematics. Undergraduate recipients must have a declared major in Mathematics, be full-time with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and completed at least four core courses in Mathematics at IU South Bend. Graduate recipients must have a declared focus on Mathematics, a minimum GPA of 3.5, and have completed at least 12 graduate mathematic credits at IU South Bend.
Chris Keeney Actuarial Exam Scholarship ($350): This will be used to support scholarships for students majoring in a degree offered by the Department of Mathematical Sciences at IU South Bend who intend to take an actuarial exam. Recipients must have a declared major in Mathematics, be full-time students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in major courses, have completed or currently taking at least one of Math-M 445 and Math-M 446 at IU South Bend, and have definite intend to take an actuarial exam (SOA/CAS Exam P/1 or FM).
Integrated New Media Scholarship (amount varies): This scholarship supports students enrolled at Indiana University South Bend majoring in new media studies.
CTS Corporation Scholarship in Physics (amount varies): This scholarship supports full- time students enrolled at Indiana University South Bend majoring in physics.
Z Scholarship in Physics (amount varies): This award supports and recognize outstanding undergraduate students majoring in physics. Recipient(s) must be in good academic standing as demonstrated by a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have completed at least 16 credits in physics, astronomy, and/or geology at IU South Bend.
