The Department of Physics and Astronomy offers B.S. and B.A. degrees in physics, a minor in physics, and a variety of courses for non-majors in physics, astronomy, and geology. Students interested in pursuing an engineering degree can begin their studies at IU South Bend in this department.
Our faculty is made up of talented and dedicated teachers and scholars, who value the close interaction with students and colleagues found at IU South Bend. Physics majors and other interested students have the opportunity to carry out research projects of their own design or participate in the ongoing research of the department's faculty.
