Description of the video:

nothing

The Mission of the Department of World Language Studies is to prepare students for citizenship in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual global community. The Department promotes proficiency in languages, knowledge of cultures and literatures, and students' active engagement in cultural and linguistic exchanges. Our faculty members seek to give students a greater understanding of world affairs in an historical context, an enhanced knowledge of the traditions, achievements, and lifestyles of the international community, and an appreciation of differences and similarities among peoples and nations.

The Department encourages community outreach, and actively supports clubs and other organizations related to world languages and international studies at Indiana University South Bend.
