Interests

After a number of years teaching a wide variety of classes, in recent years I’ve decided to focus solely on First-Year Writing. I believe ENG-W 130 and ENG-W 131 are two of the most essential classes students will take on this campus, as well as two of the most challenging. As such, there’s nowhere I’d rather devote my energies, and no student population I’d rather serve.

When not teaching, I can usually be found writing about music for Indy Metal Vault, the site I co-run. In our short history, I’ve developed a reputation for my thoughtful, well-researched interviews that has helped IMV become one of the most well respected sites in the metal blogosphere. I also like to collect LPs and cassettes.
