I was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to Pennsylvania for my PhD program, living in Indiana, PA for 6 years, after which I moved to Fort Worth, TX. A few years there was enough and I relocated to South Bend in 2018 and the world is good.
I went to school, initially, to be an actor, then a writer, but ultimately I found out that I was a hard-core reader. Over the 10 years I spent in college and Graduates school I worked in a corporate setting and while there are times when I miss it, I have been teaching at the college level since 2013 and this is where I am supposed to be. I still act and write and read as these are the tools I have honed which serve me well in the classroom.
